Welcome to whatever this may be
So... I have a "blog". Those are five words I never thought I would say or type. I have a new son, born on Dec. 18, 2008 in the middle of the worst snowstorm Portland has seen in at least 40 years and, this spring, I will be doing a good percentage of my work from home while taking care of this little one. As such, my wife thought having a blog would be a necessary outlet for me as a means of maintaining some semblance of sanity.
Since I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing you will have to bear with me. Here is what I am anticipating will be on this site in what will hopefully be the relatively near future. There's going to be a lot of talk about Elliott and my complete ineptitude at trying to look after him by myself during most weekdays. There's also going to be a lot of talk about sports with most of the focus revolving around the San Francisco Giants, Portland Trail Blazers, Oregon Ducks, fantasy baseball and football players and whatever other events I happen to catch while watching Baby Elliott dribble three ounces of breast milk down his "Dog Gone Cute" onesie. If I can somehow manage to combine those two subjects with any kind of cohesion I will consider whatever this "blog" is to be a success.
