Elliott's picks

This year, as Elliott has developed basic motor skills, we forced him to make his own March Madness selections. Last year we did the dirty work for him by selecting different colored Candy Land characters. No free ride this year pal. We sat Elliott in his high chair for 15 minutes and, after giving him the No. 1-4 seeds in each bracket automatically and the No. 1-2 seeds through to the second round, had him pick each remaining match-up. At school today, Shelbi made flash cards for every team. Some were the simply the school's mascot. Some were a little more abstract. Notre Dame was represented by a picture of Colin Farrell. Syracuse... was simply a picture of an orange. Etc... It turned out to be way more entertaining than I thought it would be even if Elliott got a bit bored by the proceedings by the end. Long story short, if Texas A&M wins the title this year, he's going to be in the money.

Elliott was very thoughtful with some of his selections.

Elliott believes that teams who are         Here Elliott picks BYU (represented by the

are the teams to beat in this year's        round game over Florida.
tournament.

So even Elliot picks BYU over my Gators. I admit to going with 'Be True to Your School' in the first-round game and picking Florida to win here. I may be the only one who thinks that (and I admit to wishful thinking..) but I couldn't help it. Come on, Elliot- the Gator is WAY better looking than Brigham Young...

It does not bode well for you that Elliott is picking the Beaver-like mascot.

It was actually a picture of Mike and Toni taken at the game they went back for recently. Shelbi grabbed a copy of it off of Facebook. Unfortunately, after a long deliberation, Elliott picked against them in the Sweet 16.

I love that idea! How did Eliot do with his picks? I'm sure he did a lot better than me this year. I got burned in my office pool!
